With Basstracks.de, Markus Hartmann from Cologne has started a new service where you can hire him to play bass for your production. The recorded bass tracks are delivered via the Internet, no personal meet-up is required.

The idea is not quite new – for the German market, Benjamin Hüllenkremer has offered this service a few years ago (but his page fernbass.de has been offline since quite a while), and Drums by Request is a similar service for drummers.

However, Markus has executed the concept very professionally and convincly. His Demo videos are impressive, and he has a nice collection of basses. A little quiz for the readers: Which song has influenced the first demo in the video “Soul, Funk, Motown (Teil 2)“? One hint: The song was written by a rather well-known duo.
