Road Diary (4)

Another weekend with nice colleagues, but this time more stressful than the previous one. I definitely learned one lesson: A Vito is not a suitable car for a band. First, it is not wide enough by a few crucial centimeters to fit the keyboards, and second, it is a lot of effort to remove the last row of seats. And since we weren't able to leave that row of seats anywhere, we used all three rows, packed five people and a lot of equipment and travelled like in a box of sardines. And all of that just because Sixt was unable to give us a suitable van…

But now on to more pleasant things: On Saturday, we had the first gig of our new cover band, playing for a German-Croatian Wedding. The preparations were a bit stressful, but we had a lot of fun and I think the wedding guests and the wedding couple had a very good time. Now I am curious to see what will happen with the band. If you need a cover band, you can book us.

Of course, the highlight of the whole weekend was the presentation of the new CD of the gospel choir The Gospel House. The Scala in Ludwigsburg is a very nice concert location with a lot of atmosphere and with a good sound (the room is being used as a cinema as well). It was cool to finally get to know the choir, and I am thrilled by the commitment The Gospel House showed throughout the concert – even concerning technical set up and stage management. And the dancers were just fabulous! I think the audience enjoyed the concert a lot and I hope there will be some form of contact with The Gospel House in the future as well.
